this may or may not be part of the view from our reception venue.
N. Ireland was so much brighter than Scotland during our trip, so S and I tried to take advantage of this extra bit of sunlight (even though it was still so freezing) and took a drive around his hometown. Our favorite spot is down by the harbor. The boats, the coastline, the lone house on the hill, it is all very picturesque.
I feel really lucky that we get to have our wedding ceremony in his hometown. I know all of our American guests will love it, especially in the summer where there wont (hopefully) be a bone cutting chill in the air that makes your eyes water… and by eyes water of course I mean cry. I swear it is like getting freezer burn on your face and inside your ears. Not that i’ve ever had freezer burn, since I dont typically curl up in the freezer with the meats.. but I imagine that is what my chicken sometimes feels like.
