This Sunday is our LA wedding reception/welcome home party!
I get butterflies in my stomach when I think about it, because it means a full day of spending time with my friends and family, who I have only seen a few times in three years,
if I have even seen them at all.
I have been planning it a little bit on the sly with my mom, and we decided to make it a welcome home and wedding reception, to kill two birds with one stone, and make the overall vibe super fun and relaxed. Plus we didn’t want to seem greedy by having two separate parties.
One thing Stephen and I have learned, is to make the event planning process as fun and as easy as possible.
No fuss, not a lot of money spent, and have the primary focus be on us, and our loving friends and family.
Transitioning to the US is going to come with its challenges, and I imagine it is going to be very scary and overwhelming for Stephen.
I think this will be a wonderful way to show him that there are a lot of people in our corner, who are there to love on us, support us, encourage us, and help us along the way.
It is going to be in the backyard of my mom’s new house, sit down style, with a ton of southern style BBQ food (Stephen’s favorite new cuisine).
