flower crown by my sweet friend from HS who recently started a shop called the Flower Gypsies. I think these would be so great for a garden wedding. dress c/o bank fashion

This weekend was pretty eventful. It started with brunch on Saturday morning at Lazy Dog Cafe.
You know, the chain restaurant that has a menu for your canine friend.
I found out they do breakfast/brunch on the weekends, so we figured we would make it a family affair, aka us and our dog.
They have these delicious wild blueberry pancakes with bacon butter that I highly recommend.
AND $5.00 mimosas, bellinies, and bloody Marys. Charlie had grilled chicken and brown rice.
It isn’t the type of good you would get a a little indie restaurant, but it’s great for a chain and for those who want a place that is super dog friendly.
On Sunday we went to the HOWLoween Pooch parade and pet expo at a local park.
It.was.hilarious.
If you are a dog lover, I highly recommend finding events like this.
Their were hundreds of dogs, most of them dressed in costume (along with some of their owners…). Their was a parade, contests, food trucks, and tons of different vendors. They also do some little shows with the k9 search and rescue unit, and the disc dogs (dogs that catch the frisbies). Stephen and I made some friends, as did Charlie. I love going on fun/rediculous outtings like these, because it is a great way to socialize your dog in a controlled and safe environment.
Tomorrow we are heading up to Santa Barbara to meet up with one of my bffs, and spending the night. We are really excited about a day away and time with good friends.
Happy Day!
So cute, sounds like you guys had an amazing weekend!
xoxo
Lovely pictures! The zebradog is so funny!:D
That zebra dog is the best idea ever. Also, those pancakes look delicious. I’ll credit your photography skills.
What a cute idea to have a dog cafe. We saw a pub the other day that said dogs welcome, which is super unusual. Where are dog owners meant to eat?! That zebra dog, I’m dieing haha
Your dog kills me! I love animals in costumes. It is such a guilty pleasure of mine to dress my dogs up…they hate it but I reward them with bacon :).
I’d totally buy a portrait of my pet[s]. Now you’ve given me an idea…
ooooooo i am love your charlie sooooooo much!!!! you know i would so be at that HOWLoween parade with yall. oooo definitely. dog costumes are the greatest ever. we got my charlie a pirate one from petsmart…. its like a baby onesie. i die.

it’s official, i am going to kidnap (dognap?) charlie.
We love Lazy Dog! They have a great happy hour (and it’s not like you can really find many small indie restaurants in TO). That zebra dog is kind of awesome too.
that looks so nice 😀 and the pet paintings… what an idea!!! 😀
looks great! it’s been 38 degrees celcius here in bali. it’s just getting hotter everyday. so mimosas and bloody mary’s are most welcomed.
charlie is one lucky dog!
Puppy is soooooo cute!
A dog restaurant? So cute! And I love the zebra “costume.”
The flower crowns are so pretty! And HOWLoween Pooch parade? That is just too adorable!
I want to steal your dog.

I have never before had the urge to dress my dogs up in costumes or clothes or whatever, but this year it has bitten me BAD. I’m soooo tempted to do something to them for Halloween…although, let’s face it – no matter what, I really can’t top that little zebra there. so cute!
This is in no way meant to be rude or mean…I just wanted to point out a few errors to correct because I would want someone to tell me 🙂 also, feel free to delete this comment.

I love going on fun/rediculous outtings like these – ridiculous
LOVE your blog and adorable updates xo.
I am dying over that zebra dog!
I am so happy for your life right now with Stephen. I think you are almost there and the only key element missing is a cute little baby 😉
Also I loved the headband, so autumnal 🙂
xx
Dogs in costumes, dog menus and $5 mimosas?! I’m sold.
My dog would be in heaven if we could take him to a restaurant, AND he could have his own plate!
Dogs in costumes. I die.
Fun side note: on the topic of pet paintings (which I find hilarious), the best fact I ever found out was that George W. Bush painted dogs. Google it, they are PRICELESS!
That breakfast plate looks amazing!
Lets just pretend that you’re referring to me, not Ahn, in that last statement.
