Sorry for the instagram quality photos, but I wanted to introduce you to Stacked.
Located in Thousand Oaks, off the 101 and Moorpark, or off the 101 and Lynn, at the Thousand Oaks Shopping Mall.
It is across from The Cheesecake Factory, and holds its own against CF’s 20 page menu.
Each table has an iPad, you swipe a credit or debit card and it allows you access to the interactive menu.
You can scroll through their selection of burgers, sandwiches, and pizzas, and create your own meal to your liking.
I recommend building your own burger (they have gluten free and meat free options too) and my brother says just go straight for the burgers instead of anything else.
There are TONS of options.
You start by choosing your bun (brioche, pretzel, gluten free, honey oat etc) then your meat (beef, salmon, turkey burger, grilled chicken etc) then your cheese (american, swiss, pepper jack etc) then your toppings (pickles, lettuce, mac n cheese (!) bacon, onion strings, avocado…to name a few)
then your sauce… (ketchup, mayo, siracha mayo, red pepper mayo, garlic aoli, BBQ, etc etc…)
You have the option of choosing up to three sauces on the side, which I love because then you get to try a few.
I recommend the Stacked sauce.
You can actually put anything on the side if you want… just drag the item to the side.
Their fries are amazing, super thin cut, which I love.
And then of course dessert…
You can make your own ice cream sandwiches, and sundaes.
The bonus is that everything is super affordable, and you don’t have to leave a hefty tip, since you are basically doing all the work yourself, like requesting your own refills with a tap of the iPad.
Also, you don’t have to wait for someone to bring you the bill.
The staff is really friendly and helpful, and the food is great.
So if you find yourself in the mood for a burger and fries, and have over dosed on In-N-Out, try out Stacked.
